Program Overview

CDR is a tiered integration program focused on physical and mental wellbeing for adults.  We have 4 tiers in our program, each one advancing the client's independence and responsibility.  Program elements include but are not limited to Crisis Prevention, Psychopharmacologic Medication Assistance and Management, Wellness and Recovery Services, Medical Referral Services, Community/Peer Support Groups, Client Advocacy, Community Reintegration, Therapeutic Community, Planned Activities, Daily Living Skills, and Program Management.  Casa Del Rio has 14 beds with an additional 15 independent living beds offsite.  Our goal is to help client's work towards independence and wellness.  Once the clients work through our tier system and graduate from the program, we can offer an independent bed offsite or help them find other housing if they desire to do so.  We work exclusively with Kings County clients.

Some of our outings include going to the beach, to the mountains, the zoo, shopping, and other activities per client's request.  We offer a home atmosphere with staff and clients working together throughout the day.  CDR includes all clients weekly creating the menu for the following week, and encourages those who are able to work with staff preparing meals.    We have groups throughout the day and clients spend 2 hours each weekday at an offsite Wellness Center. Our campus has a large outdoor social area with picnic tables and canopies.  We have a large outdoor grill, basketball hoop, weights, outdoor games including a large grass volleyball court.  Family and appropriate visitors are encouraged and as clients move up the tiers they earn privileges for offsite passes.
